Kandinsky Wassily Kandinsky-Kleine Welten IV  So since my final major is predominantly inspired by music, it would be amiss for me to not mention the work of Kandinsky. I won't use him as a main artist, but I feel that the way I work in terms of using music as inspiration for art will be similar whether that is intentional or not. Kandinsky was highly accredited for pioneering the abstract art movement, through his use of abstraction in his paintings, which focus on the relationship between line and colour. He believed he had synaesthesia , which enabled him to hear music and attribute colours to the sound. The accredibitlity of the condition is largely questioned mainly because depending on how you view it, everyone could be able to attribute colours to sounds as we are all told things such as 'blue is a sad colour' so people attribute it to music that sounds sad or is in a minor key.
